Tito GHIGLIONE - POSTCOITAL BLUES
Postcoital Blues is a collaborative experiment between Tito and Maledetto Cane. The goal was to give a coherent conceptual framework to a body of work that initially came into being without any premeditated structure. As the title suggests, the book plays with the associations evoked by the landscapes it features — evoking a desolate, post-catastrophic, post-atomic imaginary, alongside the “dramatic,” yet spontaneous, gaze cast on the female bodies portrayed. The result is a melancholic undercurrent, reminiscent of the fleeting sadness that sometimes follows sex. On that note, we were intrigued to discover that clinical studies on this phenomenon have recently been conducted, particularly in the United States.
