Alessandro TERNI - чмок,чмок

It consists of two booklets, each forty pages long, collected in a single volume by a leporello cover. This work gathers some of the instant photographs that Alessandro Terni has taken from his adolescence to the present day. It is a predominantly autobiographical and intimate work. For this reason we wanted to put the material together as if it were a fragmented diary in which the photographs, collected at different times, interact in a single narrative and expressive flow that, in some way, tells the prevailing moods that dominate Alessandro's life.

To quote Alessandro himself, чмок,чмок is a voice from the past, but also - and perhaps above all - the same moment replicated infinitely in the restless time in which I continue to exist.

The work contains a dedication to a person in Alessandro's life, whom the reader will have the kindness to decipher or discover among the photographs. Again, using Alessandro's words, чмок,чмок is my gift to you, the search I make for you, the promise of finding you again.

The title, in Cyrillic characters, is an idiomatic onomatopoeic expression common in Ukraine, a land to which Alessandro is, for personal reasons, attached and which has a dual conflicting meaning: that of reproducing the sound of a kiss and that of a slap.

The work is completed by two fragments from Franz Kafka's letters to Milena.
